The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA, Dr. Bashir Jamoh OFR has felicitated with Nigeria’s ex-President, Mohammadu Buhari on his birthday, which came up December 17, 2023.

The DG has also congratulated the immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir el- Rufai on his installation as the Gbobaniyi of Ijebuland by his Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the Awujale of Ijebuland

According to a birthday message, Jamoh said Buhari’s love for the unity of Nigeria is well documented through his service as a Military Head of State and later a two term democratically elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The NIMASA DG noted that most importantly Buhari’s zeal towards ensuring that democracy is sustained in Nigeria remains one of the greatest gift given to the most populous African nation.

“Your commitment to nation building and the attendant achievements has evenly matched the most celebrated nation builders across the globe.

“On this special day of yours I want to wish you many more years of happiness in sound health as we will continue to seek your unquantifiable advice in our quest for national development”, Jamoh stated.

Meanwhile, while congratulating the former Kaduna State Governor on his installation as the Gbobaniyi of Ijebuland, the DG noted that el-Rufai is the first person outside the south-west to be conferred with chieftaincy title by the monarch, which speaks volume of the person and character of the two- time former governor of Kaduna State.

Jamoh said: “Having left your footprint in the sands of time in the Federal Capital Territory as Minister, and Kaduna State as Governor, I assured the people of Ijebu Land in particular and the South West by extension that they will benefit from el Rufai’s wealth of experience in leadership.

“This title also brings to the fore el- Rufai’s detribalised disposition towards everyone and his acceptability across every nook and cranny of the federation. Once again, congratulations to you and the entire people of Kaduna and Ogun States.
