NIMASA’s Director, Special Duties buries dad July 28

All is set for the burial of the late Ogbueshi Alexander Chukwuma Osamgbi, the father of the Director, Special Duties of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA, Mr. Isichei Osamgbi on July 28, 2023 in Asaba, Delta State, South -South Nigeria. Late Ogbueshi Alexander passed on recently at the ripe age of 96.
In a statement issued at the weekend, the Osamgbi family of Umu Nnikwu Village in Asaba Delta State officially announced the funeral arrangement of their Father and Diokpa Nnikwu, Ogbueshi Alexander Chukwuma Osamgbi.
According to the statement, the Late Ogbueshi Osamgbi will be buried on Friday July 28,2023 at Nnikwu Village, Umuaji Asaba, after a requiem Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, West End, off Nnebisi Road, Asaba at 10am. This will be followed by a reception at the Dome Event Centre, Okpanam Road, GRA, Asaba.
Diokpa Osamgbi, is survived by many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, amongst whom are Mr. Isichei Osamgbi, Director of Special Duties at NIMASA, Mrs. Uzor Eluaka, Vice Principal, Zappa Basic Secondary School, Asaba, Lady Ndidi Okogba, of the National Identity Management Commission NIMC, Sir Peter Osamgbi, a businessman and Mrs. Eruke Omoyowuchowu Titiloye of the Coco Research Institute of Nigeria, CRIN.
The family in the statement, also said that the burial will be preceded by a vigil Mass, which will hold in his honour, on Thursday July 27, 2023 at Catholic Church of The Assumption (Zappa), Umuagu, Asaba, while the final traditional rites commence on Sunday July 30th at Nnikwu, Umuaji, Asaba, after the Thanksgiving Mass at Church of The Assumption (Zappa).
Ogbueshi Osamgbi a retired Civil Servant and community leader, who had worked across the country was a devote Christian of the Catholic faith, who spent most of his time in charity work and service to his community, to the admiration of all who knew him.
