Nigeria LNG Limited NLNG has said that the explosion at the Gbarasin Ubie Gas Processing Plant in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State capital did not in any way affect its operations.

In a statement by the NLNG’s General Manager for External Relations and Sustainable Development, Mr Andy Odeh, the company also assured that the explosion does not impact the supply of gas across the country.

The statement reads in part: “NLNG is aware of reports of an explosion at a gas processing plant in an upstream facility at Gbarain Ubie, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State on Tuesday.

“Please note that this does not impact the gas supply to the NLNG plant or our operations.”
