The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has restored the 275, 000 barrels of oil production per day. 

This follows a peace deal brokered Sunday by the NNPCL between the management of Total Energies, operator of the NNPC/Total JV, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association, PENGASSAN and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers NUPENG, which made the unions agree to suspend ongoing industrial action. This also led to immediate restoration of 275, 000 barrels of oil per day production. 

In a communique issued at the end of a marathon negotiation session chaired by the Executive Vice President, Upstream, NNPCL, Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, all parties committed to resolving all the issues within an agreed framework.  

The communique was signed by the MD/CEO, Total Energies Mr. Matthieu Bouyer, President of PENGASSAN, Comrade Festus Osifo and President of NUPENG Comrade Williams Akporeha. It was witnessed by EVP Upstream, NNPC Ltd, Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, and Chief Upstream Investment Officer, NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services, NUIMS, Mr. Bala Wunti,

It was further gathered the meeting was attended Deputy Managing Director, Total Energies Victor Bandele.
