NPA MD, Dantsoho joins VP Shettima on National Single Window roadmap

Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority NPA, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho last week joined Vice President Kashim Shettima in developing the implementation roadmap for the country’s National Single Window NSW, project.
Dr. Dantsoho and other heads of government agencies on Thursday, last week joined the Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima in a committee to develop a comprehensive implementation framework for the Nigeria’s Single Window project.

Vice President Shettima chairs the Ports and Customs Efficiency Committee, which specifically tasked the Nigerian Ports Authority, the Nigeria Customs Service, and the Federal Inland Revenue Service FIRS with formulating the NSW framework.

Available records show that the NPA is already streamlining its operations in preparation for the NSW’s integration, which is scheduled to launch in 2026. The NSW system aims to significantly reduce transit times and shipping costs in Nigeria by creating a single platform for all vessel entry and exit procedures, among other functions
