NPA partners NEPZA to boost non-oil export

Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority NPA, Mohammed Bello- Koko has said that the authority under his watch is willing to partner the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority NEPZA towards boosting non-oil exports.
Bello-Koko gave the assurance when the Managing Director of NEPZA, Prof Adesoji Adesugba paid a working visit to the NPA headquarters on Marina, Lagos, recently.
He said the management of NPA under his watch was working assiduously to boost non-oil export in line with efforts to diversify the country’s economy from the current total dependence oil crude oil export as the only means of foreign exchange earnings.
According to him, this commitment informed the decision of the management to designate several terminals across various port locations strictly for the handling of export cargo to avoid delays.
Prof Adesugba had while speaking earlier hinted that the purpose of the working visit was to seek ways through which both organisations would collaborate in promoting non-oil exports out of the country through the seaports.
He however expressed satisfaction with the efforts of the management of the NPA in boosting non-oil exports through the seaports. He specifically commended the Managing Director, Bello-Koko for providing purposeful leadership.
