The Nigerian Ports Authority NPA has said it is willing to continue with the partnership that exists between it and the Nigerian Navy in line with its robust policy of inter-agency collaborations.

Managing Director of NPA, Mohammed Bello-Koko, gave the assurance in Lagos when he led the management team of the NPA to play host to theFlag Officer Commanding FOC Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral, Joseph Akpan, who was on a working visit to the agency.

Bello-Koko noted that it was necessary for all the agencies to work in sic towards achieving the goal of making the country’s maritime domain safe and secure without which the dream of making Nigeria’s ports a hub in Africa would continue to be an illusion.

The Flag Officer had while speaking during the visit, thanked the NPA management for the warm welcome accorded to him and his team, adding that this is the right time for both agencies to further strengthen the already existing cooperation between them in the overall interest of the nation.
