The Executive Secretary/CEO of Nigerian Shippers’ Council NSC, Dr. Pius Akutah, MON, joined the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, H.E, Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, at the 4th quarter 2025 citizen/stakeholder’s engagement meeting and launching of the ministry’s Enterprise Content Management System in Abuja.

Dr Akutah commended the Minister for his steadfastness in implementing President Bola Tinubu’s Marine and Blue Economy Agenda.

The event themed “Positioning Nigeria’s Marine and Blue Economy for Investment, Innovation and Expansion: The Pathway”, marks a major milestone in the ministry’s digital transformation and institutional reform agenda.

In his keynote address, H.E, Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, described the engagement as a defining moment in Nigeria’s drive to reposition the marine and blue economy as a critical pillar of economic diversification, growth, and global competitiveness.

Speaking on the launch of the ECMS, Oyetola described the platform as a strategic investment that goes beyond internal administration to drive efficiency, improved transparency, accountability, and improved service delivery.

In his remarks, Dr. Pius Atukah MON, commended the consistency of the Honourable Minister and his team in carrying out the agenda of the President.

He added that the event is focused on positioning Nigeria’s Marine and Blue Economy for investment, innovation, and expansion, which is very critical to sector advancement to the next level.
