President Bola Tinubu has sacked six of his cabinet Ministers, thus ending over two months of speculations on possible cabinet reshuffle. The president has also nominated seven new minister-designates, whose names have been forwarded to the National Assembly for confirmation to replace the sacked ones.

One of the ministerial nominees is Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, wife of late Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, even as one of the new nominees is expected to replace the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Betta Edu.

The sacked ministers include Minister of Education, Prof Tahir Mamman, Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy- Ohanenye, Minister of State for Housing Mohammed Gwarzo, Minister of Youths Development, Jamila Ibrahim and Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John.

According to the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who briefed State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting, presided over by the President, at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja, 10 Ministers have been assigned new portfolios.
