Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority NPA, Mohammed Bello- Koko was among heads of government agencies and other top dignitaries that graced the 9th edition of the African Shippers Day event, which ended in Lagos, Wednesday.

The event, which began Monday, was hosted by the Nigerian Shippers Council NSC in partnership with the Union of African Shippers’ Councils UASC, with the theme: “African Continental Free Trade Agreement: A Veritable Platform for African Shippers to Mainstream into Global Trade” The 8th edition of the event was hosted by Ghana in 2021.

President Muhmmadu Buhari, who was represented by the Minister of State for Transport, Prince Ademola Adegoroye declared the event open while Minister of Transport, Mu’Azu Sambo was the chief host.

Other dignitaries at the event wereDirector General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA, Dr. Bashir Jamoh, Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority NIWA, Dr. George Moghalu and the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transport, Dr, Magdalene Ajani, among several others.
