The Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria CRFFN has successfully hosted its highly anticipated stakeholders’ engagement with the theme: Digitisation and Standardisation of Freight-Logistics Services and Pricing Mechanism” held in Apapa, Lagos State.

Meanwhile, the Council hosted a two-day intensive training on Air Cargo Logistics Services, which held between Thursday 26th and Friday 27th of June 2025 at the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria FAAN Training School Annex, Ikeja, Lagos.

The comprehensive forum brought together a diverse array of industry stakeholders, including freight forwarders, logistics professionals, shipping agents, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities, all converging to chart the future course of Nigeria’s freight and logistics sector.

The event, witnessed robust discussions on transformative digital solutions and standardized pricing frameworks that promise to revolutionise the industry.

Key deliberations centered on leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency, reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks, and establish transparent pricing mechanisms that will benefit both service providers and end users.

Participants engaged in meaningful dialogue about regulatory frameworks, best practices, and innovative approaches to modernizing Nigeria’s freight forwarding landscape.

This strategic initiative reinforces CRFFN’s commitment to positioning Nigeria as a competitive logistics hub Globally while ensuring that digital transformation benefits all stakeholders in the freight ecosystem.

The outcomes from this engagement are expected to influence policy decisions and operational standards across the industry.

This hands-on training empowered freight forwarding practitioners with in-depth knowledge on: Air cargo handling procedures for safe and efficient delivery, Regulatory compliance to meet national and international standards and Fundamentals of air freight logistics to enhance operational flow

It is expected that the training, which equipped participants with these critical skills, would help to strengthen the capacity of freight forwarders to compete globally, minimise risks, ensure faster cargo movement, and deliver better service across the logistics value chain.
