CRFFN, NSC move to elevate freight forwarding in Nigeria

On Tuesday, May, 20th, 2025, the Registrar/CEO of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding Practice in Nigeria CRFFN, Mr. Kingsley Igwe, led a delegation on a strategic courtesy visit to the Nigerian Shippers’ Council NSC in Lagos.
The visit, hosted by NSC’s Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Pius Akutah, MON, focused on strengthening institutional collaboration to elevate freight forwarding practices across Nigeria. Both leaders underscored the value of partnership, professionalism, and structured engagement between maritime agencies under the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.

Key areas of discussion included developing a formal framework for cooperation, supporting capacity building for freight forwarders, and enhancing regulatory processes through innovations like KYC compliance.
Mr. Igwe also sought NSC’s support in scaling CRFFN’s training initiatives to meet global standards—an important step in improving logistics efficiency and service delivery. The visit ended with a shared commitment to aligning efforts in driving growth and transparency within the sector.
