The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Technical, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Education SSAP-TVEE, Dr. Abiola Arogundade, has said that Nigerian youths are “a solution and not the problem” to the nation’s development.

This declaration comes on the heels of the conclusion of the Abuja phase of the National Poverty Reduction with Growth Strategy NPRGS, which officially ended Friday, July 11, 2025.

Speaking at the premises of the office of OSSAP-TVEE, venue of the 10-day programme, Arogundade, noted that judging from the basic elements of the Cybersecurity and Web Development under the NPRGS to their first websites, the participants have within the 10 days, proven that given the right incentives, Nigerian youths, which they represent, could reach the highest level of production.

According to her, the participants came in with questions in their eyes about whether the training would make a difference or just another of the government programmes the SSAP-TVEE has held in the past.

“As I stand before you, I see those questions replaced by confidence and clarity, and by purpose”.

“I see young Nigerians who now carry renewed hope. From lines of code to your first websites, from data firewalls to collaboration, you have proven that with access, and the right kind of investment, Nigerian youths are not the problem, but the solution”, she said.

The TVEE boss added, “This initiative, borne from the visionary leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is not just about training. It is about unlocking dignity. It is about reimagining. It is about creating a Nigeria where no one is left behind”.

Congratulating the participants, Dr. Arogundade, who noted that they had shown that the methodology adopted by the OSSAP-TVEE works, added, “Abuja, you have set the tone. You have shown us that when we invest in practical, high-impact training, transformation happens”.
