NPA appoints seven new General Managers, others…As Ibrahim Nasiru heads Corporate Communications

The Nigerian Ports Authority has announced the appointment of seven new General Managers and 10 other Assistant General Managers, in what stakeholders described as restrategising to reposition the agency for more efficiency. This is also in tandem with the management’s commitment to employees’ motivation towards service excellence.
Under the new dispensation, former Assistant General Manager, Corporate & Strategic Communications, Ibrahim Nasiru has been elevated to head the division as General Manager, Corporate & Strategic Communications.
The other new General Managers include Moltok Josephine Adar, formerly the Asst. General Manager, Overseas Office, who is now General Manager Servicom; Ahmad M. Umar, formerly the Asst. General Manager Accounts is now General Manager Human Resources while Sheidu-Shabi Khadija Ife, formerly the Asst. General Manager Environment becomes General Manager MD’s Office even as Ngini Chukwuma, formerly Asst. General Manager Facility Management is now the General Manager, Lands and Asset Administration.
According to a statement signed by the new General Manager, Corporate & Strategic Communications, Ibrahim Nasiru, former Asst. General Manager Finance, Odunsi Opeoluwa, becomes the new General Manager Finance while former Asst. General Manager Procurement Mohammed Shehu, takes over as General Manager Tariff & Billing.
The appointments take immediate effect.
Acting Managing Director of NPA, Mohammed Bello-Koko, who congratulated the new heads of divisions on their appointments, admonished them to regard their new positions as a call to duty and service to the nation. He therefore urged them to commit their optimal best to achieving the vision of the authority, especially at a time the new management is working round the clock to reposition the port industry for optimal efficiency.
