Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority, Mohammed Bello-Koko

The Nigerian Ports Authority NPA has redeployed a total of nine General Managers and several other Assistant General and Principal Managers in line with the efforts of the current management to reposition the organisation. This is with a view to enhancing the country’s port system to attain the preferred cargo destination status in Africa.

According to a statement by the General Manager Corporate and Strategic Communications, Ibrahim Nasiru, under the new arrangement, which takes immediate effect, General Manager, Monitoring & Regulatory Services, Mrs. Madubuike Ugo becomes the General Manager Public Private Partnerships PPP; while former GM PPP, Mrs. Williams Idowu, takes over as GM Monitoring & Regulatory Services.

Similarly, former GM Administration, Engr. Ajibola Olagoke takes over as GM Superannuation even as former GM, Servicom, Mrs. Josephine Moltok moves to Administration and former GM Procurement, Musa Yaro, now heads the Servicom unit.

Others include GM, ICT, Engr. Ohagwa Anthonia, who moves to Tariff and Billing, while Edosomwan A. Anthony now heads the ICT Department even as GM, Tariff and Billing, Mohammed Shehu, is now the General Manager Procurement, while Khadijat Ife Sheidu-Shabi has been re-designated General Manager Managing Director’s Office/Technical Assistant Administration.

In the same vein, former Assistant General Manager, Umar Abubakar Sadiq, Audit (Policy and Compliance) now heads Finance and Investment Department, while former AGM HR Operations, Felix Onyile Bassey reports to GM, Administration as AGM Administration even as AGM, Performance Management, Mrs. Dairo Olusola Olufunke is now AGM HR Operations.

Former AGM, Electrical and Corrosion, Engr. Allen Taylor O. Bankole, now acts as GM Engineering while former AGM, Corporate & Strategic Communications, Zhimwan Nansel Audu reports to GM PPP as AGM (New Business). Alhassan Ismaila Abubakar, Assistant General Manager Operations – TA to MD (Admin) moves to the Abuja Liaison Office as Assistant General Manager.

Also, former AGM, PPP/ Technical Assistant to MD (Engineering) Engr. Richard Unde Terfa, is now AGM Facility Management while former AGM, Audit (Finance and Investments), Pella Naphtali Nafarda, moves to Superannuation Department to head the investment portfolio former AGM, Engineering, Engr. Abdul Ibrahim Sani, is now AGM Electrical and Corrosion.

Others affected by the new disposition include former AGM Investment, Okeke Angela Uche, who reports to the GM, Audit as AGM Audit (Policy and Compliance), former AGM, Administration, Dantiye Zainab Magaji, who reports to the GM HR as AGM Performance Management as Principal Manager Hydrography, Faturoti Adebanjo, reports to GM Engineering to understudy the AGM, Hydrography.

In a related development, two technical assistants have been appointed. They are Senior Manager Accounts, Abubakar Daniya, who is now Executive/Personal Assistant to the Managing Director and Senior Manager, Civil Engineering, Engr. Sadiq Abubakar Lamuwa, who now resumes as Technical Assistant (Engineering) to the Managing Director.
