NPA vows to boost non-oil export

The Nigerian Ports Authority has vowed that it is not leaving any stone unturned in its efforts to boost non-oil export in the country in line with the Federal Government’s efforts at diversifying the economy by curbing over-dependence on crude oil export.
Managing Director of the NPA, Mohammed Bello- Koko, who was a panellist at the RT 200 Non-oil Export summit, 2022 organised by the Central Bank of Nigeria in Lagos, Thursday, said that the authority has designated several ports terminals for the handling and processing of export cargo.
He disclosed that the NPA was at the verge of identifying and dedicating more terminals as part of efforts to remove all encumbrances in the handling and shipment of Nigerian export cargo to the international community.
The theme of the summit was: Setting the Roadmap Towards Achieving RT200 and Non-oil Exports for Development. The Nigerian Ports Authority is a key component in the chain of realising the non-oil export economy in the country.
