Shippers’ Council’s CSR project brings joy to Ilara-Epe, Lagos community

The Nigerian Shippers’ Council NSC, has once again demonstrated its dedication to giving back to the community through its robust Corporate Social Responsibility CSR project in Ilara-Epe, Lagos State. Top officials of the Council visited the community during which equipment worth several millions of naira were donated to the community to boost the livelihood of the people.

Speaking during the visit, Executive Secretary/CEO of the NSC, Dr. Akutah Pius MON, who was represented by the acting Director, Special Duties, Mr. Abere Moses, who led the team, noted that the donation of equipment was designed to boost livelihoods of the people and improve community services.
The donated items include sewing machines for small-scale fashion businesses, hair dryers for beauty services, two sets of 6.2kva generators to support electricity supply, Local grinding machines to aid food processing.
The items were received on behalf of His Royal Majesty, Dr. Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo (JP), FCTI, FNIM (Telade IV), the Alara of Ilara Kingdom at his palace. The traditional ruler thanked the NCS management for its kind gesture while pledging to put the equipment to effective use for the good of the community.
The NSC has a long-standing tradition of supporting communities in areas where it operates.
Its donation to the Ilara-Epe community is a testament to its commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians.
