The Kingdom of Belgium, a major shipping nation, has pledged to partner the Federal Government of Nigeria in its renewed efforts to enhance port efficiency to infrastructural development

The Ambassador of the Kingdom to Nigeria, His Excellency, Daniel Bertrand made this pledge when the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman played host to him at the Authority’s Corporate Headquarters, Marina Lagos during a courtesy visit.

The MD had expressed the authority’s appreciation to the Kingdom of Belgium for the visit and looks forward towards further cementing the already existing relationship between both countries.

Recall that Nigeria and the Kingdom of Belgium have a lot thing in common, especially in terms of port management. For instance, Nigeria’s land lord port model adopted in 2006 during the reforms was fashioned after that of Port of Antwerp, Belgium.
