Efficiency: Bello- Koko appoints three new Port Managers, redeploys others

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority NPA, Mohammed Bello-Koko has approved the appointment of three new Port Mangers in a bid to reboot the port systems for optimum operational efficiency and with a view to attaining the maritime hub status for the South Saharan African region.
A statement signed Friday by the General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communications, Olaseni Alakija said the newly appointed Port Managers include Yitnoe Stanley Magaji, who was before now the Technical Assistant, Marine and Operations to Managing Director is now the Port Manager, Onne Ports in River State.
The statement also said that Buba Jibril is the new Port Manager for the Tin Can Island Ports Complex, Apapa. He was formerly Traffic Manager, Lagos Ports Complex LPC, Apapa while Ovbude Nelson Uwaifo, former Traffic Manager, Dangote Jetty, now moves to Calabar Ports as the new Port Manager.
In the same vein, former Port Manager Tin Can Island Port Engr. Yunusa Ibrahim Anji moves to the corporate headquarters as Assistant General Manager Port Engineering while Dantsoho M. Abubakar former Port Manager, Onne now becomes Technical Assistant to Managing Director on Special Duties.
Other appointments include Okaga Charles Bamidele, former Principal Manager, Traffic department now becomes Technical Assistant, Marine and Operations to the Managing Director while Leoso Akintunde Oladipo, former Principal Manager Traffic department of the LPC now assumes duty as Traffic Manager Lagos Ports Complex even as Aliyu Abubakar Principal Manager Traffic Kirikiri Lighter Terminal takes over as Traffic Manager, Dangote Jetty, Lekki. All the appointments take immediate effect.
