Mr. Boss Mustafa

The Federal Government has appointed the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority NIWA, Mr. Boss as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF.

The government has also sacked the suspended SGF, Mr. Babachir Lawal and former Director General of the National Intelligence Agency NIA, Mr. Ayo Oke, thus ending nine months of controversy over corruption allegations levelled by the duo.

While the former SGF was sacked due to a N270million grass cutting scandal involving one of the Internally Displaced Persons’ IDP camps, Oke was sacked over the discovery of whopping $43million in a property allegedly acquired by him in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Most stakeholders are however of the view that the sack of the due, which has been delayed for over nine months was not enough punishment, insisting that they should face prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC or the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission ICPC.

It was gathered that the former NIWA-boss participated actively in the one-day event, having been around during the tea break, which took place around 11am, oblivious of what may have happened by had to rush of of the hall around 1pm, when the news of his new appointment broke.
