Nigerian Shippers Council mourns late Justice Kafarati
The Board, Management and Staff of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, like most Nigerians, are saddened by the sudden passing of the former Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Hon. Justice Abdul Kafarati.
During his time as the Chairman of the International Maritime Seminar for Judges Organising Committee, a flagship programme of the Council, Late Justice Kafarati, brought energy, enthusiasm and dynamism to the Seminar series for which Nigerian Shippers’ Council remains indebted to him.
In a condolence personally signed by the Executive Secretary/CEO of the council, Barr. Hassan Bello said that the erudite Justice died when the maritime industry and indeed, the entire Nigerian nation needed his contributions towards the growth and development of the industry.
Many people would miss the late Justice Kafarati for his erudite Judicial scholarship, and we at the Nigerian Shippers’ Council will particularly miss his wise counsel, depth of humility and vast network of Judicial connection which greatly lessened our burdened, and broaden the impact of the seminar.
The statement reads in part: “We wish to condole and commiserate with his family, friends, the Judiciary and the country over his sudden demise.
“We pray to Allah to forgive all his short comings and admit him into Aljannat Firdaus, Ameen”
