The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA, has taken its fight against maritime crimes, especially in the Gulf of Guinea as it restates its readiness to partner the Interpol.

The agency which has in the past undertaken some collaborative initiatives, partnering other security agencies in the country including the Nigerian Navy, the Air Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, among several others with a view to fighting maritime crimes.

The agency, which is currently pushing for the passage of the Anti-Piracy Bill at the National Assembly, yesterday in Lagos played host to the Global Outreach and Region Support of Interpol.
