NPA promotes senior managers to enhance operational efficiency
The Management of Nigeria Ports Authority NPA has approved the promotion of top managers to the rank of Assistant General Manager AGM, in line with its commitment towards operational efficiency.
Prominent among the promoted managers is Ibrahim Nasiru of the Public Affairs Division which has been rechristened Corporate and Strategic Communications under the new structure of the authority.
Nasiru, was before his recent elevation a principal manager and has been covering duty for the General Manager in charge of Public Affairs Division in the last four months.
A statement signed on behalf of the General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communications division by Ibrahim Nasiru says that other promoted officers include Eze Saint David Chima of the audit division and Ibezim Geofery of the Information Communication Technology ICT who moves to the Monitoring and Compliance Division.
Others are Fawole Adeleke Stephen of Accounts Department, Jagun Khadijat previously of Medical Services, who now moved to SERVICOM as an Assistant General Manager.
Similarly, Adah Ambrose and Bamgbala Tokunbo both of ICT and Nwaiwu Bartholomew Chijioke of Procurement Division were also promoted.
Other members of staff promoted include Sobande Theresa Nkemdilim, who was previously in the Personnel Division now moves to Administration as well as Dr. Mrs. Essien Titilola Ayoola of Medical Services even as the authority’s Principal Manager at the Abuja Liaison office, Mrs. Maltok Josephine Adar and Engr. Ashade Olarewaju Kolawole of Dockyards were also promoted to the position of Assistant General Manager.
All the appointments take effect from August 1, 2017.
Managing Director of the authority, Hadiza Bala Usman, who commented on the promotion exercise, said it was in line with the desire of the management to enhance efficiency.
While congratulating the promoted officers, she charged them to reciprocate management’s gesture by putting in more for the overall realisation of the goals of the organisation.
