Barring any last minute change in the scheme of things, the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority, Hadiza Bala Usman and the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Barrister. Hassan Bello have accepted to grace a one- day talk shop on the need for the development of a sustainable logistics for effective port system and administration in Nigeria organised by Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria MARAN.

The event is billed to hold Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the International Maritime Press Centre/MARAN Secretariat, located on 23/27, Wharf Road, first floor, Atlantic House Apapa, Lagos, at 10:00 am prompt.

According to MARAN Secretary General, Bayo Bernard, the talk shop with the theme; “The Prospects and Challenges of Logistics Services as the Life-Wire of Nigeria’s Maritime Industry” promises to create a viable platform for vibrant discourse by industry stakeholders and other interested parties on the subject.

He disclosed that the talk-shop will be chaired by the President of Nigerian Institute of Shipping, Dr. Patrick Egesi, even as there would be perspectives from terminal operators, logistics providers, regulatory agencies, freight forwarders and customs brokers.
