The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Maritime Police Command, AIG John Amadi recently led other senior officers of the command on a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Shippers’ Council at its Apapa, Lagos headquarters.

The AIG told the top management team of the council, led by the Executive Secretary/CEO, Hon. Emmanuel Jime that the purpose of the visit was to familiarise with the activities of the council. He also pledged the command’s support towards the council’s efforts at ensuring the enthronement of a new port order in Nigeria that is characterised by efficiency and competitiveness.

The NSC-boss, while speaking during the visit, thanked the Police AIG and assured that the council under his watch, would leave no stone unturned in ensuring a level playing field for all operators with a view to making the ports efficient and globally competitive.
