SGF, Amaechi to grace Jamoh’s investiture as Transport Institute president

Barring any last minute change in the scheme of things, Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, Boss Mustafa and Minister of Transport, Rotimi Ameachi would lead other Federal Government functionaries to the investiture of the Executive Director, Finance and Administration of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA, Mr. Bashir Jamoh as the new President and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria CIoTA.
He replaces Prof Innocent Ogwude, who stepped down after five years at the helm of affairs of institute as part of activities marking the 2018 edition of its National Conference and Annual General Meeting held in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital in December last year.
According to a statement by the institute, the investiture which will also entail the inauguration of the National Executive Council/ Governing Council is billed to hold at Rock View Hotel, Apapa February 12, 2019 at 10am.
The statement also said that the event would be under the auspices of His Royal Majesty, Oba Rafiu Balogun, Alaiyewura, Elejirin of Ejirin Land, who also doubles as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the institute.
Recall that the new president had following his acceptance speech thanked the institute for reposing confidence in him by electing him president and chairman of council of the great institute, pledging to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new job.
He had also promised to work as a team with the other elected executives with a view to taking the institute to the next level and also solicited the assistance and cooperation of all members including the outgoing executive members.
