The Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of Nigerian Communications Commission NCC, Dr. Aminu Maida, joined Muslim faithful across the country to celebrate the 2026 Eid-el-Maulud, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), urging for peace, compassion and unity.

In its 2026 Eid-el-Maulud message, the Commission extended warm greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and beyond and called for the enduring values of peace, compassion and unity to guide citizens in their daily actions and relationships with one another.

The Commission noted that the occasion provides an opportunity to reflect on the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, particularly the virtues of peace, compassion and togetherness.

“As we commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), may his teachings of peace, compassion, and unity continue to guide our actions,” the Commission noted.

The telecommunications regulator further reaffirmed its commitment to building a connected and inclusive Nigeria where every voice is heard and respected.

The Commission also used the occasion to underscore its broader vision of connecting Nigerians and fostering an environment where communication and digital connectivity contribute to national inclusion and development.

The NCC wished Muslim faithful across the nation and beyond a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Maulud celebrations.

Recall that the Federal Government of Nigeria had declared Tuesday, August 25, 2026 a public holiday to mark the 2026 Eid-el-Maulud.
