NPA expands stakeholders’ engagement, visits GOC 81 Division

In line with its policy of robust stakeholders’ engagement and synergy, the management of theNigerian Ports Authority NPA, recently visited the General Officer Commanding GOC 81 Division, Lagos of the Nigerian Army, Major General Lawrence Fejokwu.
Acting Managing Director of the authority, Mohammed Bello-Koko, who was represented by the Executive Director, Engineering and Technical Services, Prof. Idris Abubakar, said the visit was in tandem with the policy of the current management to have collaboration with relevant stakeholders across all strata.
Speaking during the visit, the GOC, who was on ground to give a warm reception to the NPA management, said the Nigerian Army, especially Division 81, Lagos was willing to partner all relevant stakeholders.
He thanked the Managing Director, Bello-Koko for the good work he is doing to reposition the nation’s seaports towards optimum efficiency, a development that has also led to a drastic reduction in the gridlock that characterise the Apapa port community, which following the introduction of electronic call-up system for haulage trucks and other articulated vehicles.
