The Director-General of the World Trade Organisation WTO, Nigeria’s Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has paid a working visit to the Lekki Deep Seaport, located in Lagos.

Managing Director/CEO of the Port, Wang Qiang, who spoke on the visit, said it was an honour to the Management of the Port to be visited by the WTO DG.

“We were honoured to welcome Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation WTO, to Lekki Port.

“Her visit highlighted the scale and impact of Nigeria’s deepest seaport and reaffirmed its role in enabling efficient trade, attracting investment and strengthening supply chains that connect Nigerian businesses to regional and global markets”, Wang said.

He assured that as Lekki Port continues to expand its capabilities, the management remains committed to providing world-class port infrastructure that supports industrial growth, facilitates seamless cargo movement and positions Nigeria as a leading maritime and trade hub in Africa.
